Lately Lovely

"Sometimes, I need only to stand wherever I am to be blessed."
 -Mary Oliver

I just returned from a lengthy afternoon walk with my mamma and two dogs and I can feel my fingers tingling as they warm up. Today I pulled out an ancient Breckenridge hoodie as we set out and of course my converse were the only shoes that seemed logical to wear… I just realized that I've had them for three and a half years, but they're still going strong. "Today is a good day," I thought, as we walked briskly in this cold February air. "This is going to be a good year, I just know it. It's going to be a great summer." Although some days I'm just dying to get out of the house, I really do love where I am right now.

Today brought a 6:45 wake-up call and shower. Some time in the Word. Oatmeal + berries for breakfast. Mid-morning tea. Literature and a photo break in the reading room. A bit of time on the piano. Dreaming of a baby grand. Chuckles over Jane Austen's wit. Zeal for the future. Hope for some warm weather. Knowledge of no warm weather anytime soon. Joy.

How was your day? I'd love to know!

 xx.
A lovely evening to you.

Lindsey

p.s. All of your comments on my last post were buckets of sunshine! I can't tell you how much you all made my day; it was so fun getting to know more about about you. So thank you, Hannah, Noni, Natalie, Jessica, Jianine, Olivia, Marianne, Michelle Marie, Sonya, and Acacia! Y'all seriously are the best. Perhaps I'll write a post sometime with letters to each of you… should I? :)

  4. your photos blow me away, girl!! and your day sounds simply perfect. I spent my day doing school, drinking tea, reading Jane Austen also (!!!), watching Northanger Abbey for the first time, working on special graphic projects while jamming to Taylor Swift's unrealeased songs, and journaling. :) It was a pretty simple day.

    xxx.

  5. Oh I love your pictures! It sounds like you did have a lovely day. :)) So did I. :)) I woke up early and got ready to go driving with my mom. I just got my permit so I've been driving with my mom lately to get my hours in. It was a rainy day today. And I LOVE rainy, overcast weather. I did school and took a nap and this evening I helped in a children's class at our mid-week church programs for kids. I love playing music for them and listening to all the funny things they say and their sweet questions they ask when learning about the Lord. What a blessing to be able to take care of them.

Hope you have a wonderful rest of your week!
    Blessings!

The focus on all your pictures...just love it, and your dogs are so sweet! (looking anyway, they could be rascals in life I suppose! ;D)
