No, I Didn't Fall Off The Face Of The Planet.

I've just been extremely busy. As you may or may not know, this past week was show week for Seussical. And it was a completely  a m a z i n g  week. I could ramble on this in numerous paragraphs, but frankly, I don't have time at the moment. However, I'll give you a few highlights of my blogging dry spell...

> Performing on [a real] stage for the first time in my life! <

> winning the greenroom award<

> seeing many, many friends and family members at all seven of my shows!<

> Meeting new and wonderful people <

> making plans and having a reserved theater for the midnight premier of The Hunger Games! (Thanks, Mrs. R.!<

> Getting asked to do someone's senior pictures! Woot! Woot! (I'm a little nervous, but I bet it'll go ok) <

> hanging out with younger kids before, after, and during show <

> singing new worship songs before show <

> finishing this watercolor (it could be better, but I'm satisfied with it.)<

> having warm enough weather to wear shorts <

> [today] a 3 mile run, a cool shower, and now peach+blackberry crisp and a Fringe. (all of this= perfection)<

That's all for now. Just wanted to let you know I was alive. :)

Love and a hug,

Lindsey

oops...

Dear people,
I made a mistake. That is why everything looks wacky.
Working on the problem...

Over The Weekend (such an original title, I know)

Just over the weekend I finally got to spend some time with a very dear friend of mine who I have been missing so much! Missing to the point of tears, in fact. Anywho, here's a little taste of the adventures we had together...

we ate ice cream for lunch after a bit of shopping

then, after getting lost and driving around in the city for 20 minutes, we found the bakery we were searching for... and they gave us free bread. :)

we set off for an adventure in the woods...

... and stopped for a picture on a bridge.
then we continued throughout the woods, singing all the while.

and after we had muffins on the shelf of a little waterhole, my friend took about 537 pictures of us by this old fireplace/foundationofanoldhouse. Thanks, Neens! :))

Over the weekend, I also had a long Seussical rehearsal (5 hours) and we moved into the theater!! I got to practice on stage, which was very exciting, since it's the first time that I actually get to do a show on stage.

Happy Sunday!

Love and a hug,

Lindsey

{Lately Lovely}

Wow! It has been a busy few days... let me catch you up on the details.

But first, I must make an announcement.
Drumroll, please...

Announcing: An Ordinary Utopia!

And at this moment, you're probably thinking 'what?'.
Let me explain.

This is a project that we [Jocee, Abby, Megan, Gracie, Hayley] launched this past Sunday. It is a collaboration of six writers, photographers, and lovers of ordinary life. We have banded together to create a blog where we can be real. A blog where we share with you what life is really like behind the curtain of perfection. Not to say that I don't try to do that here, but this is project where we are concentrating very specifically on this. I hope you'll come along for the ride!

As for the other events of my week...

-I went to the wedding of my friend, Ann. She and her new husband are too cute! Out of all the weddings I've been in, this was probably one of the best, simply because they are just so in love. For reals.

-I've been having rehearsals constantly between dinner theatre and Seussical. They're both going to be great.

-I've had a great reunion with a good friend of mine and we have had a wonderful time catching up.

-A friend of mine [well, he's really more like a brother to me] left for Cyprus, where he will be living for four months! Now that's adventure! I'll miss having him around to eat pancakes and talk about the best music on earth. [wicked + sigur ros]

-I just realized that wasn't an event. It was a random fact. . . oh well.

-Tried a kickboxing class at the gym for the first time and now I am more sore than I've been in a long time.

-other than all these things, I've just been extremely busy and trying to stay on top of all my responsibilities.

. . .
and now for the real reason you're on this page at the moment...

.. Le photographes! ..

yep, that's a mustache. yep, that's also a cookie.

good morning.

one hundred.

It was a few years ago that I started this blog, but it didn't really get going until the summer. And since then, it has been a wonderful adventure. With each post, I have gotten to share with you little pieces of my life. I have made friends with many of you, and have been so encouraged by your comments and your lovely faces in my followers box. I went from three followers to 31, and with every single one of you lovely people, my heart did a little happy dance and a smile sprung up on my face.

So thank you.

Thank you for reading.

Thank you for following.

Thank you for commenting.

Thank you for encouraging.

Thank you for giving advice.

Thank you for putting up with my ramblings.

Thank you for not judging.

Thank you for letting me be me.

Thank you for everything.

All of you give me a motivation to write. You make me excited to spring out of bed and check what comments you have left me. Those comments make my day. You all make my days. I am so blessed. So thanks again.

Love and hugs,

Lindsey Lou

{p.s. those strawberries were just fresh the other day--in January! can you believe it?}
{p.p.s. what's your favorite pic?}
